I'm surrounded by procedures, <br />For everything I do, <br />Procedures for my eating, <br />There's one to use the loo! <br /> <br />Procedures at my work place, <br />Procedures at my church, <br />Procedures when I'm parking, <br />Procedures when I burp. <br /> <br />Procedures when I'm born, <br />Procedures when I die, <br />Procedures when I marry, <br />Procedures when I fly. <br /> <br />I can't avoid procedures, <br />They're with me everywhere, <br />They follow me where ere I go, <br />They're as common as the air. <br /> <br />In writing rhyming couplets, <br />In writing wordy terse, <br />There's procedures to be followed <br />In writing down free verse. <br /> <br />I will avoid procedures, <br />I won't do as I am told, <br />I'll rebel, I'll do my own thing, <br />I'll be free, so very bold. <br /> <br />I thought they were my enemy, <br />I've just got to make amends, <br />For now I realise the truth - <br />Procedures are my friends!<br /><br />Joe Hughes visit joehughes.org.uk<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/procedures/
