I dreamt that dream once more,
Though, it faded with the morning light.
Now awake, I wished again
The sun might go and bring back night.

I hear your voice, your laugh, your sigh,
Standing before me the way you used to do.
I want to talk, but don't know how,
If I do not blame myself, then blame who?

I often used to wonder, what cruel fate!
The image in the mirror, why it was not you?
Unbearable, a mother's pain, a father's grief,
sisters, brothers, no sign for their relief.

What would you have been I ponder?
A politician, a scientist, surely someone to assist.
While I my life I live, and sadly blunder.
Fail to conform, findings ways to hinder, to resist.

Mad Gone

http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/i-dreamt-that-dream-once-more/
