It was cold and dark... <br />My dog preferred a howl... <br />Rather than a bark.. <br />My eyes were moist with traces of tears.... <br />Every one besides me...was blue with fear... <br /> <br />I could rarely figure... <br />Who stood beside me... <br />But could easily hear... <br />Their cries that obliged me.... <br /> <br />And then I traced my shadow... <br />Amongst others in dark <br />Smiling at me... <br />And clinching near my path <br /> <br />But as that smile.... <br />Traveled nearer to me.... <br />My eyes got heavy.... <br />And my lungs eager to breathe.... <br /> <br />And as my heart started beating faster... <br />I heard the voice...of my father..... <br />“Come my child, come in my arms <br />You are about to be free... <br />Of the worldly charms” <br /> <br />And when my shadow.... <br />Finally joined me.... <br />It was the time..... <br />for my soul to be free...<br /><br />Ranjeet Uzgare<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/when-my-shadows-decides-to-join-me/
