We think we’re safe in Christ alive <br />Life’s way is crystal clear <br />Now every day we’ll surely thrive <br />And have no more to fear <br /> <br />Yet though we’re saved and born anew <br />Made righteous through God’s Son <br />There still remains so much to do <br />Until God’s will is done <br /> <br />For still we watch how others die <br />How others rot in jail <br />Like fools content we walk on by <br />And see our neighbours fail <br /> <br />Too many lives are in disgrace <br />So many die in ruin <br />With downcast heart with smiling face <br />They dance to Satan’s tune <br /> <br />Still lost in pride and gross deceit <br />Astray from life on high <br />They sit at Satan’s evil feet <br />Whilst those now saved walk by <br /> <br />We think to know we think we’re wise <br />Death’s road is far behind <br />We think in Christ we’ve open eyes <br />But to the truth we’re blind <br /> <br />Our ears can’t hear the sinners cry <br />Can’t hear our neighbour’s groan <br />Content we live the devil’s lie <br />With hearts are hard as stone <br /> <br />That others cross the last divide <br />Assail the God’s holy mount <br />The truth inside we cannot hide <br />Nor quench Salvation’s fount<br /><br />Michael P.
