I went to the circus, <br />Saw the man on the flying trapeze. <br />Eating hot dogs, soda and popcorn, <br />Squirming on Daddy's knees. <br /> <br />I saw the lions, <br />The tigers were roaring loud, <br />Elephants dancing, Horses were prancing, <br />Clowns amusing the crowd. <br /> <br />Then a surprise...With wide opened eyes, <br />What I sight to see... <br />That's when I saw her, the 'Fat Lady of the Circus'' <br />She was the one for me. <br /> <br />Everyone laughed, she was embarrassed, <br />A tear in her eye I could see, <br />Then I stood up, I blew her a kiss, <br />She smiled and looked at me. <br />I sent her another, One after the other, <br />I sent her a total of three. <br /> <br />Who in the world loves 'The Fat Lady of the Circus, <br />Only this boy, <br />This little sad boy, <br />Only a 'Fat Boy'...Like me!<br /><br />Philip Lore<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/my-first-love-28/
