Of all the things in life I see <br />We've lost our faith in society <br />On any given daily basis <br />We find ourselves in stasis <br />Politicians spend without thought <br />Embellishing themselves until caught <br />Government waste is at an all time high <br />Determined to screw the little guy <br />No matter how much they tax and tax <br />The regular citizen always seems to get the axe <br />Taking and taking is all the bureaucracy knows <br />Every single time its at the expense of those <br />That try so hard to make ends meet <br />Only to suffer with monetary defeat <br />Someday soon, it will happen to them <br />When no longer can they spend our money, on each of their whims <br />But, till that wondrous day does come about <br />We'll be stuck bailing them out!<br /><br />james d nall,jr<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/our-society/
