Her safe haven is broken yet she walks with grace <br />Broken promises have left their trace on her face <br />Her smile cannot disguise the aching pain in her eyes <br />Rivers of tears flowing beneath her as she cries <br />Judgement clouded she's impersonating the rain <br />Her pleas for help are in vain as she feels the pain <br />She crept into solitude and for a lifetime she wept <br />For those promises that were never kept <br />She'd sleep with thoughts of a better day in mind <br />Yet she'd wake to find hell beginning to unwind <br />As disaster slowly but surely began to unfold <br />Nobody offered her a hand to hold as she called <br />Shattered dreams with so much pain in the air <br />Living a nightmare with monsters everywhere <br />A nightmare from which she waits to be woken <br />Every promise ever spoken was soon broken <br />Curling up on the cold floor like an innocent girl <br />Knowing she's my world and truly a precious pearl <br />We met in the moonlight with nobody else in sight <br />I looked into her sparkling eyes and knew It felt right <br />Love as strong as ours could never be wrong <br />Such a beautiful moment that we waited for so long <br />You take shelter under my wing and ignore the storm <br />For we're preparing our home for the newborn <br />The life kicking inside you baby will soon breathe <br />Our seed will proceed to feed those people in need <br />No more pain baby it's over I promise you a fresh start <br />You're a part of my heart and never will be torn apart <br />United beneath the bright stars we proudly stand <br />Lovers destined to be together hand in hand<br /><br />Yassar Ali<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/a-rebuilt-haven/
