Standing around at the winters tale <br />You'd think I made it through <br />I hoped and prayed I would not fail <br />But damaged inside I crawl to you <br /> <br />The months of cold and white hit me <br />Like a brick wall right to my fist <br />It battered out my emotions clean <br />It left me all but pissed <br /> <br />And without a razor to drain my life <br />I wander around hopelessly lost <br />Looking all directions for a way that's right <br />I'm hoping it leads me to a field of frost <br /> <br />Shaking wishing wanting to <br />Do all the things I want to do <br />But razors gone I promised no <br />These scars I bare I hide to show <br /> <br />So now my mind is fading <br />Out the window it was tossed <br />Caught by wind in the jet stream <br />I feel right now forever lost<br /><br />Matt Burgett<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/forever-lost-9/
