In the vortex of the swirling evil wind <br />Mother Nature showed its evil grin <br />Sleet and snow becomes an evil twin <br />A wolf’s howling can be heard as evil sin <br /> <br />The barren landscape reveals a blinding glare <br />The bareness sinks into the marrow of a nightmare <br />A bone chilling feeling comes knocking at the door of despair <br />A candle light vigil gives refuge a worthless fare <br /> <br />It’s a Christmas Eve like no other <br />And bitter loneliness has no mother <br />Winter bares its claws ready to smother <br />Tempting any fool or his brother <br /> <br />Snowdrifts pile high as they can <br />Snow blowers shudder through out the land <br />A winless battle against a harsh wind so bland <br />Snow blinded by a white light making a stand <br /> <br />Can spring be near <br />Does it need a kick in the rear <br />What am I doing here <br />I hear Hawaii calling loud and clear<br /><br />Alfred Ramos<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/winter-s-rage/
