The Hunger Games have begun as chicken friendly Pilgrim's Pride offers to buy meat giant Hillshire Farms for $6.4 billion. Pilgrim's Pride would pay $45 a share, pricing Hillshire at a 22% premium and throwing Pinnacle Foods out of the arena.
