When I die and die alone, I will be buried under stone.
No hole in which to lay me down, A cairn of rocks built from the ground
Layed upon my pale white chest, it's where i'll take my final rest.
Set on the coast I'll take my due, singing songs of love for you
And I shall watch the eastern sea, for ever that is where i'll be
And though you left me years ago, to walk along a different road
I never loved another soul, you were the one who made me whole
You wished to be with other men, how I wish things had been different then.
But I could not change the way you felt, or the playing cards that fate had dealt
So instead I hung my head forlorn, and waited for a second dawn
Alas it never came for me, So here I lay beside the sea
Without another by my side, I'll watch the waves, I'll watch the tide.
Till finally my day will come, with one last setting of the sun
When the cliffs will crumble at the end of days, and my essence swpet back to the waves
And i'll travel alone amongst the blue, thinking all the while of you.

Jake Harris

http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/a-coastal-dirge-for-a-broken-heart/
