Aren’t memories just dreams that we’ve dreamt before? <br />Why does a loving touch bring more excitement than winning an award? <br />What is the cat thinking when it hisses at you? <br />What messages does the wolf send to the moon? <br />Does she send back her own regards? <br />Isn’t life just a hand of undealt cards? <br />Can the wrong road be the right road to take? <br />Is the sky above the earth real or merely an illusion? <br />Doesn’t every ending come with it’s own other conclusion? <br />Could we survive with no stars to shine <br />in the pitch black sky? <br />Could are hearts sing if life had no rhyme? <br />Doesn’t fate share laughs, thoughts and tears with time? <br />Could we live without the things we had <br /> if we didn’t know what we were missing? <br />Do the sky and the ocean know that they’re kissing? <br />Is the beginning the end and the end truly the beginning? <br />What if the world got tired of spinning? <br />Could the moon’s faithful guidance ever deceive us? <br />Could we all be slaves to some higher level? <br />Does time purposely slow down the pain? <br />How can sorrow and joy both come from the same rain? <br />Are the trees always faithful to the wind- <br />or do they ever dance to the rhythm of the rushing rivers? <br />Does a parallel universe exist in the future or past? <br />Are we really the only individual just like us? <br />Are illusions really illusions or could they be something we can touch? <br />How much really is enough? <br />Do the light greens and bright blues in our sight <br />look like dark yellow and rich reds in someone else’s eyes?<br /><br />Alyssa Marquardt<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/my-many-wonders/
