I’ve been chasing you in my mind <br />Like a butterfly beyond my reach <br />Despite all arguments and advice of friends <br />To convince me, the sheer impossibility <br />Of my Rainbow tinted daydream. <br /> Today, today after all these days <br />I see a dream, a vision clear <br />You talk to me and I understand. <br />I had to know your mind <br />And now I am comforted <br />My mind is rested <br />My heart at peace, <br />I’ve let you go <br />I’ve set myself free. <br />Within my mind – You <br />Struggled hard to fly away <br />And I – To keep you in! <br />You touched my mind, my inner mind <br />Made me see, but, I know not how <br />And releasing you I find, myself <br />Richer all the more than when I believed <br />I had you in my hand. <br />I’ve let you go, let you go peacefully <br />Thereby I’ve gained my peace <br />I only hope, now that you are free <br />I find happiness seeing you free. <br />I’ve let you go let you go fearlessly <br />Thereby I’ve gained the courage <br />Courage and confidence I’d seemed to have lost. <br />I am happy for the dream, the vision <br />The vision of you and me set free.!<br /><br />Angelina Pandian<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/set-free-16/
