Herbert Nehrlich 2 - Swine Who Flew

2014-06-16 1 Dailymotion

A swine flew over the cuckoo's nest
and he barely could clear it at speed,
he had noticed a rumbling inside his chest
right after his last slop o' feed.

Said the cuckoo 'my friend you look out of breath
you no doubt got the shot for the flu,
all the critters will surely be catching their death
I sincerely do hope though, not you.'

Said the swine 'I declined, as the first needle broke
in my tough and delicious thick skin,
they were laughing, it wasn't a silly old joke
then the jabber pronounced with a grin:

'You vill take zis vackzine, ve haff made it forr yoo
it iss Bayer, vee make ze best schtuff,
lest yoo vant to refooss vee vill coll in ze krew
and inschekt ze most vonnderfull schnuff! '

So the porker escaped, grew big wings overnight
out of fear for his health and his life,
when the powers took all of his say as of right
and they also arrested his wife,

he flew high in the sky till he came to the gate
where St. Peter stands guard and admits
souls from earth who excelled and who prayed for their fate
when he suddenly got the big SH*ts!

Down it fell from the sky, clouds were forming, all brown
though the man at the gate had a heart,
he said 'Pig, come on in, here's your heavenly gown',
when the porker squeezed out a loud fart.

'You have shown, said the boss, that a porker can fly
even God was surprised by your skill
but your dropping are, well...too much pie in the sky
it will make all the feathered friends ill.'

With a wave of his hand (it was God) he then cured
little piggie of runnings behind
and from then all the pigs down on earth were assured
their own place up in heaven (how kind!) .

One condition was placed: not to have the flu jab
and to fly on their self-powered wings,
now you know why all pigs have the gift of the gab
and I hope you appreciate things.

Herbert Nehrlich 2

http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/swine-who-flew/
