Heavy and deep as the clocks do their ticks <br />Slowly-by, the dreamchathers tricks- <br />I fell into a deep-haunted sleep <br />your heart was the one i tried to keep <br />but locks have come undone <br />and our love-little to none- <br />is but a hanging thread from a laced dress <br />and undoing me into distress <br />That hanging thread has choked us both- <br />how far we have come to losing the oath <br />that made us one-that made us love- <br />unlike the perfect fitting glove- <br />we are not-no longer one <br />and death for me-it, has begun <br />quietly living beneath the flesh <br />unlike the keys-we do not mesh- <br />quietly lurking in my eyes- <br />in becoming a known disguise- <br />my tears come down-and here he is <br />living in my haunted dreams- <br />a known man- known to all <br />that stands small and stands tall- <br />living within the walls <br />living within our shawl- <br />of our embedded love- <br />that he undoes once we begun <br />leaves us with-little to none- <br />but a speck of our once love-<br /><br />Afrodita Alkline<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/in-my-haunted-dreams/
