Child like in dance <br />You romp about in glee, <br />You live for today <br />without anxiety. <br /> <br />You have no mind <br />You live outside, <br />With your hands stretched <br />and a smile that's wide. <br /> <br />Noises emanate <br />from your persona, <br />Intoxicated deeply; <br />In fragrance and aroma <br /> <br />Flowers smile at you <br />Laughing away without aim, <br />Nothing bothers you; <br />Not even life's game. <br /> <br />Astonishing me <br />I note what I see, <br />In the stillness of it all <br />You harbour in glee. <br /> <br />Lost in nature's resort <br />In refuge of peace, <br />From the doctrine of illusion <br />I am released. <br /> <br />I learn from you <br />an epitome of vivacity, <br />The flower of childhood; <br />Blossoms in tranquility. <br /> <br />The child in me <br />With you to play, <br />Feels free to romp <br />Dancing away. <br /> <br />No thoughts in ruin <br />I'm alive as before, <br />I can't ask again <br />For anything once more. <br /> <br />We hold hands as infants <br />The two of us play, <br />I'm a child, no more an adult <br />Having learnt to sway.<br /><br />Ajay Seshadri<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/the-bliss-of-drifting/
