Standing alone on her <br />beige sandy shores- <br />the Gulf of Mexico <br />pounds and stings my bare feet <br />at one with her inner tempo <br />as blue waters lick at lady grey. <br /> <br />Staring at the emptiness of it all- <br />Still feeling the power she yields <br />Waves cap and break <br />Hooked on the sound <br />of her eerie calm. <br /> <br />This vixen teases on a whim- <br />She flirts with the sun <br />granting her glow <br />Sounds of seagulls <br />play in harmony <br />captive in the music <br />of the sea <br /> <br />Seduced by her rhythm- <br />standing in awe of the calming rage <br />when eternity arrives <br />she will still continue alone to <br />ebb and flow.<br /><br />Robin Bennett<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/captive-rage/
