I feel weak, I don't have much time <br />My life has changed from its usual rhyme <br />I wanted to do so many things <br />So many places thats left unseen <br /> <br />My kin has suspicion, I can see it in their eyes <br />They think they are hiding it, behind a disguise <br />It's obvious to me, that they need to know <br />But I cant help it, it ain't no show <br /> <br />They told me I had a few months left <br />And that I should go home and get some rest <br />But so much to do, I cant stop now <br />But only so much, my body will allow <br /> <br />Its getting worse, closer to the end <br />I sit and weep, I cannot mend <br />It hurts to think of the happy times <br />When I was free, there was no signs <br /> <br />No signs of cancer running through my veins <br />When I had time to remember all your names <br />So this is my chance to say goodbye <br />Now I must leave, it's time to die<br /><br />Neil Adams<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/goodbye-555/
