I got Big Dreams but No Job <br />How can I be Broke and a Snob? <br />I tell you, I'm a Dam Trip <br />I can't even afford to leave a waiter a Tip. <br /> <br />I tell you, I gotta get myself together <br />Cause lying in bed won't help me through these Hard Times and Stormy Weather. <br />It's time that I stop talking and do what I go to do <br />Cause Big Dreams with no Job, Just won't pull me through. <br /> <br />I had to realize that Faith without Deeds are dead <br />And now it's time that I get myself out of this Big Queen Size Bed. <br />I realize that it's OK to have Big Dreams and Great Visions <br />But it won't work without the Provisions. <br /> <br />I finally came to my senses and realized having Big Dreams with no Job just wasn't gonna work <br />So I mine as well put on this Jacket and Skirt <br />And carry myself to work. <br />Cause Big Dreams with No Job won't do nothing for you. <br />And it sure won't help you when those Bills come through.<br /><br />Tracie Brown<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/big-dreams-no-job/
