I tried to wink but eyes refused <br />I uttered something but got confused <br />Why was it not responding to me precisely? <br />I preferred to remain calm and observe wisely <br /> <br />I go back to my initial days and tried to probe <br />The different wind was blowing across the globe <br />There were slightly diminishing areas <br />My repeated request was failing as useless pleas <br /> <br />Joint families are vanishing very fast <br />It has survived long but not difficult to last <br />The sweeping changes are coming from all direction <br />At no stage we can point any of their single actions <br /> <br />My lips are not opening fully for any music <br />I used to sing when child’s entry was so much symbolic <br />I had dreamed he may take me for walk one day <br />Take my full care and not leave in the middle of the way <br /> <br />I am not sure whether that has proved true <br />What more have I to wait for and view? <br />Their changed attitude with so much pain! <br />Think of not good but bad conduct and sin! <br /> <br />I used to be what I am today and same this before <br />There was no less contribution and expectation more <br />I did whatever I could do in my ordinary position <br />Brought them up in nice way and formed good composition <br /> <br />It is all changed today and may not alter <br />I may be denied my existence even this after <br />I have been shown exit and shunted out <br />What to reveal of tragic tale and talk about <br /> <br />The leaf may fall from out lived tree <br />That may be nice end to feel free <br />All tales may end with my departure <br />But some untold stories may remain there for sure<br /><br />hasmukh amathalal<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/the-leaves-fall/
