survivor <br />there is no mountain i can climb <br />nor a river i can cross <br />a survivor, i am <br /> <br />true feeling of a heart broken <br />a soul to reckon with but a token <br />true words of a survivor but unspoken <br /> <br />from cliffs, valleys and gullies <br />to shrubs, paths and tracks <br />bush trails and sand dunes <br /> <br />dwell on my expense <br />as little but a six pence <br />journeying to life; that’s my stance <br /> <br />defiance and fallacy <br />covered over fantasy <br />won’t accept nor deal with sassy <br /> <br />latent figures of a survivor <br />engine of my own; soul driver <br />blessed with joy and strength like a survivor <br /> <br />longing for more life <br />and still yet to survive <br />for as long as i live <br />will i receive <br /> <br />there is no wall to lean on <br />neither a trap to fall on <br />nor a water fall to drown in <br />there is no fountain, <br />nor a stream to quench on <br /> <br />but i got to survive and live up <br />a dream not to give up <br /> <br />weep not your tears <br />dry your tearful eyes <br />seems no one cares <br />a survivor will always rise <br />through thick and fears <br />a survivor sails through and wise <br /> <br />carving my wood of reality <br />to look and see beyond sanity <br />survive all the mockery and vanity <br />clear is my wish not to insanity <br /> <br />observant and careful as i knoweth <br />that better must cometh <br />and fulfill all that i wisheth <br />showered with blessings on sabbath <br /> <br />free like a bird that fly <br />high up in the sky <br />singing sweet melodies of a survivor! <br />ntema, o.p.<br /><br />Onalethuso Petruss Ntema<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/survivor-17/
