I have no regret for ever being slammed <br />I shall not mind even if path is blocked or jammed <br />I have received its intimation long before <br />I low lie before all and act humble therefore <br /> <br />It is causing me sleepless nights <br />It may certainly be a warning for me to act right <br />I tried to forget the signal but failed <br />I felt human soul being jailed <br /> <br />Not in four walls of dungeon <br />Not put in cage like pigeon <br />But certainly a prisoner of conscience <br />I have felt it number of times and not at once <br /> <br />I entered sacred place to worship <br />But with no real intent and to act as cheap <br />It was sheer fear and no faith <br />I was now afraid of real death <br /> <br />The door slammed from behind <br />As if it was also not kind <br />I was taken here too as unwanted <br />Even though at heart I seriously chanted <br /> <br />Now words were really coming true <br />I was gradually returning to fold too <br />Something in me had really urged <br />I need last chance to be purged <br /> <br />I want to go through peace ordeal <br />It has brought change for real <br />I shall fold my hand and bow head <br />Ask for reprieve and honest path to lead <br /> <br />I am sure it will be granted <br />As no one comes out empty handed <br />God is great and may grant every chance <br />To reform and come to the fold at once <br /> <br />I feel light at heart <br />Prayers are in fact real form of an art <br />Even hard core criminal may prefer to bow his head <br />Before his time has run out and declared dead<br /><br />hasmukh amathalal<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/feel-light-at-heart/
