I have found different craze <br />Among poets with new face <br />Some one is requesting to read <br />Another is making me to provide lead <br /> <br />There is race too <br />For top ranking and name <br />Not new poets alone <br />But old stalwarts too feel fine <br /> <br />I came across one known poet <br />He was different and quiet <br />Of late he had tested fame <br />Now he wanted more in name <br /> <br />I asked” what makes you to think” <br />This move may not make you to sink <br />Friends may be alienated <br />Your test for good poetry will be rested <br /> <br />“No I follow correct path” he remained adamant <br />I want that everybody should know me at present <br />I shall go for requesting everybody to read <br />I need fame and name more than bread <br /> <br />Something in him had revolted <br />His self honor was bolted <br />He was no more poets <br />He has now everything to bet <br /> <br />I feel shy to ask some one to read <br />If poem is good readers will be tempted to feed <br />Offer nice comments and suggest some change <br />Such nice thing should be observed on the page<br /><br />hasmukh amathalal<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/someone-to-read/
