My heart, <br />Aches. <br />My eyes fill with tears. <br />My arms are vacant. <br />My steps are weakened. <br />And I can not eat. <br />With wishes to hear a voice, <br />From me that has disappeared. <br /> <br />I am not sure what this is I have. <br />And sick inside I am with it. <br />However, <br />I am beginning to connect the symptoms. <br />There is evidence... <br />I am sure of this. <br />And it is sitting, <br />Remaining to convince me... <br />As it takes residence in my mind! <br />I am missing you. <br />And I do my best to keep that denied. <br />Oh... <br />What a liar I am. <br /> <br />You did say I would, <br />Miss you. <br /> <br />'You are going to miss me one day! <br />More than you now realize.' <br />One day to me you said. <br />To now yearn for you to fill an empty bed. <br /> <br />And I thought you were being dramatically poetic! ? <br />You weren't! <br />And I did not get it. <br />Now I do... <br />As I limp with crushed emotions. <br />Stewed in a hopelessness, <br />Brewing in deep hunger. <br /> <br />Never did it dawn on me, <br />You would leave me to become crippled... <br />With desires just to feel your touch and kiss, <br />As we reminisce dreams... <br />No longer shared!<br /><br />Lawrence S.
