I sit on the shore of my life. <br />Watching waves crash down to fall placidly before my feet. <br />I face myself in the mirror and have to reflect. <br />All those who use, I reject. <br />Hangers on and fair weather friends shown the door. <br />Waves come in and wipe away the debris on the sandy floor. <br /> <br />I have faced terrible things. <br />Drive a man to the edge. <br />I still survive for some reason. <br />I know not, what lies ahead for me. <br />Good or bad, I wish I walk to the waves. <br />Let them drown me in all their power. <br />My body dragged through the currents. <br />Crashing into rocks and coral I float back bleeding. <br />Pulling free of this evil tether. <br /> I will love evil or do unneedful things. <br />Curse those, who threaten or impose. <br />May God avenge me, for nothing I have done. <br />May my enemies die amongst the rocks. <br />Bodies broken by divine intervention. <br />May God answer my prayers. <br /> <br /> <br />I Siddiqi 16.03.09<br /><br />Ibrar Siddiqi<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/waves-38/
