She's the one,
the only one.

Everything about her is perfect,
top to bottom, inside and out.

My thoughts dwell on her radiance every day,
her smile, capable of bringing tears to the eyes of the blind.

Love doesn't describe how i feel,
knowing she's mine leaves me utterly speachless.

Then came the day, when it all went away,
leaving me alone.

She's been gone now for too long,
moved on and forgot me.

All i have are these memories,
etched into my skull with the craftsmanship of regret.

I'll never forget, i'll take her to my grave,
i just wish i could kiss her before i go.

I lie here hoping, praying she remembers my face,
and smiles thinking of me.

I will see her again,
only she wont know i adore her.

I'll hide it to make her happy,
stay away to prevent her from anger.

This is how it has to be,
there's no way to keep her in my life.

Only memories.

Benjamin Sorvel

http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/memories-of-happiness/
