As I sit in the shadows <br />And watch you play <br />I wonder, <br />'Will I ever be like you? <br />Will I ever be that big? ' <br />So I sit and wait. <br /> <br />As the days go by <br />Day by day <br />I look at you <br />Then I look at me <br />I'm still quite smaller <br />But growing faster <br />So please wait on me <br /> <br />As I start to believe <br />I yell 'Look at me! ' <br />I'm starting to catch up <br />As I wait and see <br /> <br />When I finally catch up I say, <br />'I sat in the shadows <br />And watched you play. <br />I wondered, <br />'Would I ever be like you? <br />Would I ever be that big?
