I wish to know <br />the worlds <br />energy flow <br /> <br />So I follow <br />the rivers and streams <br />they come from lakes, ponds, and ground a-hollow <br />there I learned what it means <br /> <br />To be the start of something <br /> <br />So i traveled to many a place <br />running by waters edge I'd trip over my own two legs <br />with local children I race <br />They gave me food and warm bed <br /> <br />So in the morning I led <br /> <br />To where the rivers end <br />and the great flow begins <br /> <br />the basin opens to the lake <br />where the river ends the water grinds stone <br />washing away all in its wake <br /> <br />I was here I came to know, the world was whole <br />full of the energy that flows in me <br />So I grew ever bold <br />the world a locked door, energy was the key <br /> <br />of course I speek metaphorically.<br /><br />Eric Elliott<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/river-a-flow/
