I have no doubts, Lord! <br />In your power, mercy and might. <br />Your presence is everywhere, <br />I call to you – <br />Your reassuring whisper is in my ear! <br />My arms fail me, <br />My worldly strength is dust <br />I break, I turn, I flee – <br />To you for refugee, <br />Your strong arms surround to defend me! <br />You picked me from the dust <br />Gave riches for my rags <br />You wiped my tears <br />Healed my wounded heart! <br />You gave me life, <br />You gave me strength <br />From your stricken side, <br />Your wounded hand <br />Held me tight in the dark <br />While I climbed through the storm, <br />The steep mountainside. <br />You knew no Sin – Yet, <br />You also knew in your infinite wisdom <br />No Sin was sinful enough <br />To keep me away from you! <br />Though I walked far and wide <br />You were ever there waiting for me, <br /> To turn around and reach for you, <br />You were there constantly beside me <br />Waiting for my plea. <br />Though my love was but a drop <br />You took me into your Ocean’s heart! <br />Dear Lord, great indeed is your love <br />To make me yours <br />You gave yourself for me <br />Such determination, such love <br />You bore all my pain <br />You shared all my grief, <br />You gave me all your joy and peace – And <br />Walked the whole wide world over <br />To bring me back home.<br /><br />Angelina Pandian<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/constant-companion/
