Darkened hearts drown in jealousy, <br />Screaming from your hypocrisy, <br />Dieing is your friend no longer, now your enemy <br /> <br />Fleeing the sight of familiar faces, <br />Hiding in the shadows, running distant races <br />Fall, back and forth he paces <br />Waiting for the news on his dear children’s cases <br /> <br />Bring down the sky, one piece at a time, <br />Burn in the ashes of a long forgotten memory, <br />Or listen to the taunting rhyme, <br />For in it is the answers you seek. <br /> <br />Failing and flailing and falling and dieing, <br />All strong powerful notions, when once you were flying. <br />Struck down in the strife caused by your own lying, <br />Now listen to your dieing family, their crying. <br /> <br />Those immense words shall all be forgot <br />All but a few glorious souls, <br />Shall remember the name of the evil they fought <br />The die of chance now once again rolls, <br /> <br />And like the die, your life tumbles and turns, <br />Insanity, and abnormality, to these I plea guilty, <br />And in the end you shall looks at your hands, they are filthy, <br />Your soul falls now, Ha freedom it yearns? <br /> <br />A little late for salvation, for you’ve made your pick <br />You will rot forevermore, your mortal head on a stick <br /> <br />For love lost, and love not earned or gained, <br /> Love doesn’t exist for me, my heart is pained. <br />My darkened heart, drowning in my black shadow…<br /><br />Dylan Brown<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/these-darkened-hearts/
