A big plop on my cheek <br />A wet kiss <br />As I looked up to see <br />Whether it was going <br />To or not rain <br />As if knowing your mind <br />The breeze around <br />Gave me a chill hug <br />With me pulling in <br />My clothes flying free <br />All in disarray <br />What plot you two <br />Are upto now together <br />I wondered gathering speed <br />I walked fast towards <br />Shelter and rescue <br />The wind it howled at me <br />For trying to escape <br />And the rain came <br />A thousand drops at once <br />Touching and pinching my face <br />Nails of water raked my skin <br />The breeze didn’t soothe <br />It was a torrentious wind <br />Swirling in frenzy around me <br />Full of dust and grime <br />It seemed as if it pawed me <br />My feet they entwined <br />The wet skirt hindered me too <br />Still I ran quick and fast <br />Small steps I took splashing <br />With the mud splattering about <br />A distant light, a crowd <br />I saw, huddled together <br />Under a skimp shelter <br />Some came to my help <br />With open umbrellas too <br />To help me reach the shelter <br />It was not much and seemed <br />The whirling wind <br />The force of rain - Both <br />Were bent to bring it down <br />And make me helpless once again <br />Soaked to the bone shivering <br />With the chill and cold wind <br />The gentle drizzles of the past <br />And the cool brush of breeze <br />Were forgotten and both seemed <br />Like foes fighting against themselves <br />To show their supremacy to me <br />At end spent both died down <br />The rain it said sorry <br />With drizzling tears <br />Kissing my cheeks <br />The breeze too became gentle <br />Caressing me in its sweep <br />It stroked away my pain <br />Both friends made amends <br />And I was cooled to my soul!<br /><br />Angelina Pandian<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/strange-moods-of-rain-rain-wind/
