After sleepless nights, but days spent dreaming <br />not sure about life and its true meaning <br />up and down like a thermometers mercury <br />disillusioned, is a word best to decribe me <br />as each day begins and another one ends <br />I'm just following the masses not setting the trends <br />I'm tempted to say that the world is unkind <br />but maybe I'm searching for something I wont find <br />I've seen the seasons, seen the sun <br />the stars that shine on everyone <br />observed the rivers meet the seas <br />the tree's and plants, make the air we breath <br />I've watched the world from my window, and how its changed <br />even the ordinary is seemingly strange <br />dark nights follow dark days, apart from a week of holidays <br />and I dream of being able to sleep <br />whilst wide awake at night I weep <br />I'm going nowhere but at great speed <br />only I'm not sure how to satisfy my needs<br /><br />Damien Nicholson<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/disillusioned-7/
