The bright sky, <br />The birds gliding up so high, <br />That made us decide to go to the beach, <br />And I found a crab, and I think a leech, <br />I think its a leech because of its colour, <br />And it was long, like a dogs collar, <br />I went into the water, and ended us quivering, <br />And when I came back up to the rock, I was shivering, <br />The Rock Pools were cool, but I couldn't find a shrimp, <br />I hurt my toe, so I began to limp, <br />I kicked four sandcastles down, <br />And kicked down a weird-looking sand town, <br />I looked at the sky and saw it was nearlly night, <br />I looked at another side and saw that it was light, <br />We came home at about five 'o'clock, <br />The clock was going so fast, <br />We went home in the car, <br />I loved today, and the beach is not that far.....<br /><br />Amy Gibbs<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/a-sunny-day-in-falmouth/
