Ouside <br />I can feel the rain <br />Inside suddenly pain <br />and sadness hits me at the same <br /> <br />I'm going through my daughters's things <br />Putting them through boxes of white <br />suddenly I feel so lost in memories <br />My tears fall and scatter the light <br /> <br />I find the owners manual for her purple Murray bike <br />and remember assembling it that long ago night <br />The night before one Cristmas past <br />I didn't know then, time goes by so fast <br /> <br />I found a diary she had written <br />and notes about her life <br />out from it fell an old photo of my grandmother <br />sitting in a lawn chair near my then young wife <br /> <br />And that's when the tears fell <br />from somewhere deep inside <br />and for the sudden memory of the past <br />I knelt, surrounded by memories and cried<br /><br />JAMES T.
