Sometimes feelings felt are not shared <br />Other times, feelings shared are not felt <br />Either way, one heart is left feeling broken <br />Because of words that didn't reach their mark, <br />were not felt, or remain somehow unspoken <br />But tears must be cried for what was felt inside <br />From ourselves, the truth is never easy to hide <br />And this is the price we pay for our heart's open wide <br />Our fate, our love, hanging there for another to decide <br />But this is something to take away, as a matter of pride <br />Don't let your head hang down low for what you did confide <br />At the heart of the matter, when push came to shove.....You Tried!<br /><br />JAMES T.
