The Space Shuttle was supposed to launch tonight <br />I stayed awake till the wee hours to see <br />The air was still this summer eve <br />The sky was as clear as can be <br />They stars were all around the black sky <br />except those hidden by a near tree <br />I waited and waited but the launch wasn't to be <br />cancelled for weather or something unknown to me <br />But I thought about people I know <br />People I've loved or who meant much to me <br />I thought about you and dared wish what could be <br />Then my heart sunk low fearing what's unknown <br />fearing the very thing I can't see <br />who will love me? <br />what is my destiny? <br />I looked at the stars <br />Felt so alone in the dark <br />But thought of you longingly <br />Wished on a star <br />Wished that you knew <br />You're someone to me<br /><br />JAMES T.
