Woke up today, with <br />nothin' much to say - <br />went down to the station, to <br />watch them trains head out 'cross the nation - <br />with a cup of joe black, sat <br />a spell on a cold railroad track - <br />had a long slow smoke <br />and watched it roll... thinkin' <br />them old rattlers <br />sure got alot of soul. <br /> <br />The lonesome sound of an empty boxcar <br />came floatin' in on an airwave, <br />singin' my blues down <br />into their own dark grave - <br />it put a smile <br />upon my face, <br />lifted me up <br />to a better place - <br />made up my mind <br />not to think it over twice, <br />life is just the way it is <br />and everything's gonna be alright - <br /> <br />Sittin' down here alone <br />at the railroad yard, <br />I come to the conclusion: <br />livin' really doesn't need to be <br />so damn hard.<br /><br />Smoky Hoss<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/conclusions-3/
