They called her emo,
they called her names.
They were cruel,
they blocked the suns rays.
They were afraid,
because she was different.
They didn't understand,
they didn't get it.
They didn't know,
and yet they went on.
Thought they knew everyhting,
well they were wrong.
She was beautiful,
inside and out.
Alittle marked,
no doubt.
But without scars,
on her skin or on her heart,
she couldn't say,
she knew the way.
Because with hurt,
comes experience,
and experience,
makes so much difference.
So she has felt,
pain you couldn't dream,
she has delt,
with more than your worst imaginings.
And she knows,
more than you.
She knows,
pain and truth.
So call her emo,
call her a freak.
Because she knows better,
then to care what you think.

Hailey Agnew

http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/they-called-her-emo/
