It's amazing! But when you are left all alone, you can only look back, and cherish the moments spent under the sun, in that green Meadow... <br /> <br />The season's shifted I guess, <br />with it the landscape too. <br />Tropical paradise, where I lived, <br />has turned into a sandy dune. <br />Before, I could see green for miles, <br />when I stand atop my hill, my home. <br />The greenest Meadow it was Oh boy, <br />so full of life, the place I saw. <br />I only need to call out then, <br />and a breeze would blow from the other side, <br />right from the heart of the Meadow it came, <br />giving me comfort and refreshing love. <br />The shift of season could never touch, <br />this Meadow I love with all my heart. <br />It'll remain green for eternal time, <br />rain or shine, it won't wither at all. <br />God's gift to me this Meadow so green, <br />walking through which I feel immortal so. <br />Meadow, Meadow where do you hide, <br />eternal Meadow, where have you gone, <br />I can only see barren lands now. <br />I see only sand and dust, <br />where once rivers flowed, ones of love. <br />The Meadow's shifted west from here, <br />making oasis out of the desert out there. <br />I search for the Meadow here and there, <br />but I have to wait for the season to change. <br />Will return; the Meadow sure will, <br />but when; is the question of worth, <br />only time will tell, it has to I guess.<br /><br />Leslie Xavier<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/i-miss-my-green-meadow/
