I sit here, Chained between
Between these horrid clenched teeth
That leave me trapped in the abyss
Of my own despair.

Dead bodies,
I count one, two, three
Three dead bodies, I loved them
But yet I loathe them
Gone, all gone. One, two, three crying.
Three dead bodies surround me in tears,
Tears of the fear and despair that
Swells and rains down on me.

I cry, I cry because I am stuck,
Clamped here between one, two, three
Dead bodies, and they mock me.
I see tears resting in their eyes as they
Stare, and they mock, they mock me
With those evil stairs that fill my nightmares,
Nightmares in which they beckon to me
Calling, and pleading.

No! leave me alone to my own despair!
I don’t Care Anymore! I’m not Finished Yet!
Close that door! Leave me!
I’ll run, Don’t ever come back!

I lay. I lay chained to the dark cold, hellish
Ground as one, two, three dead bodies cry,
They cry for my sanity, they cry as their haunting
Penetrating black stare follows me, and mocks me
In my dreams and in my nightmares. I feel it driving me
Closer, and closer to the madness that awaits me.

Clayton J. young

clayton young

http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/chains-tears-and-dead-bodies/
