My Lord, today I did realize <br />that Your feet do fit in my cursed shoes <br />and suddenly the thought did come to me <br />that Your death and my baptismal wash my life clean <br />that whatever comes on my way <br />You do stand in the breach for me <br />and the small things in life did astound me <br />and although I do not always understand the way that life goes <br />I do constantly look at your tracks <br />that leads me through the dangerous places <br />and even when the path forward looks impossible <br />You do at the right time help me to avoid calamity <br />and Lord, now I know that You are a reality <br />in a broken world full of darkness<br /><br />Gert Strydom<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/my-lord-today-i-did-realize/
