Fortunately, early on, our imbibing forefathers and mothers created smooth and delicious concoctions that might help gently lift our eyelids to greet the day. In this episode, Robert demonstrates the recipe for an Eye Opener Cocktail (of which there are many variations) featuring a nice aged rum and an egg yolk making it perfect for breakfast or brunch. <br /><br />Recipe:<br />1 1/2 oz aged rum<br />1/2 tsp. The Bitter Truth Apricot Liqueur: http://bit.ly/1eWVfAl<br />1/2 tsp. orange curaçao<br />1 tsp. grenadine<br />1 egg yolk<br />Instructions:<br />Dry shake to emulsify ingredients.<br />Add ice to shaker and shake to chill and dilute.<br />Strain into a chilled rocks glass.
