I pray with questions, dreams and wants. <br />Not expecting ALL to be granted, <br />Not expecting that they not. <br /> <br />The very important things, with diligence we pray, <br />And the significance of the passion has a lot to say, <br />About the “thing” we feel, compelled to speak of, <br />And the fervor with which we pray. <br /> <br />I believe that God answers, more prayers than we think, <br />I believe He answers them all, and one day we will see, <br />That he answered the call, as He saw fit, and as the time <br />Was appropriate, to make everything a perfect fit. <br /> <br />Perhaps not you wanted, asked for or pled! <br />For God gives us the best, does not want us to hurt. <br />And when I think I have heard wrong, <br />Because it was not what I wanted to hear? <br /> <br />And I do it my own way, cause hurt and tears. <br />Had I only listened, waited to see, what God saw that I couldn’t, <br />Perhaps I would be, far better, more stable, not so insecure. <br />I would be a much better person, and mentally….. healthy. <br /> <br />But God is working on my hearing, in more ways that one, <br />And soon I will know that voice, just like my own. <br />God has a plan for each and every soul, <br />And one day when I pass, I want my Lord to be able to say, <br />“Well done, my child.
