Rolling over from the pain of a thousand failures <br />Tell me..please explain <br />Why is it that I still linger <br />My skin has dried and aged again <br />With speed that deafens me <br />Mapped about with canyons that carve deep beneth <br />The Painted layers of deciet <br /> <br />Stiff and obedient <br />Don’t worry I won’t twich a bit <br />And I listen to your stories <br />To bring out the artist’s best <br />Give me your best creative contradiction <br />To this hell that burns inside <br /> <br />And with each brush stroke <br />Shoot me into psycho bliss <br />Yes plaster on a cover <br />Like a band aid <br />To keep away the dirt <br /> <br />Congragulations <br />I am crying <br />Consuming, numbing <br />When will we break these circles that dictate our lives <br /> <br />It’s tiring, overwhelming <br />Todays success is such a sin <br />And you try to pierce me with your eyes <br />Yet I feel no pain <br />I feel nothing <br /> <br />Mother <br />Father <br />These words <br />Are empty, foreign <br />And i am out of place <br /> <br />I want to cry <br />Maybe i want to die <br />And I always wonder “why? ” <br />The heavens above take away so many of the innocent <br />Yet leave me here <br />Rotting <br />I am the rotting <br />Why? <br />They must want me for the flies!<br /><br />show me the glint of light on broken glass<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/recycled-canvas/
