Keeping secrets from people i love, <br />I hate but have to do, <br />Is telling the truth a better thing, <br />or holding them out of the loop? <br />My loop of lies, <br />conceal them I try, <br />I don't know what to say, <br />which path should I follow, <br />that holds my fate, <br />of love or hate, <br />should i just hide and wait, <br />for the answer to come? <br />...I cant do that... <br />I must decide, <br />who's on my side, <br />to help me get through this hell. <br />No one is there, <br />to tell me they care, <br />My thoughts begin to swell. <br />My thoughts don't matter, <br />bottled up inside, <br />held it in too long. <br />Now I erode, <br />From words untold, <br />Now I'm not so strong. <br />Is it good or bad, <br />not to tell, <br />someone i will disappoint, <br />lose their trust, then become dust, <br />then fingers begin to point, <br />...at me... <br />it was my fault, <br />I didn't say, <br />the thing I should have told, <br />I would've seemed bold, <br />The truth would unfold, <br />but how do you know? <br />That this poem is real, <br />I'm telling the truth, <br />or is it just a lie? <br />...Me... <br />a spider weaving a web of lies, <br />the person who people despise, <br />no matter how much I try, <br />my voice holds back, <br />the things my mind, <br />contain, <br />are too drastic for you, <br />to hear, but, <br />it's getting near, <br />the words I know, <br />the one's you fear, <br />so I suggest, <br />you leave me here.<br /><br />Amber Leigh<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/my-web-of-lies/
