A flower can still be born <br />in the dry earth of our hearts. <br />The seeds of love <br />can still grow in our soul. <br />A message of peace can still save a single day <br />of lives being detroyed by the wars. <br />A book instead of a pulled gun <br />can still give us a little bit of hope. <br />Less children in the streets <br />can still give us a better future. <br />More justice in the courts <br />can still give us less violence everywhere. <br />Let the weapons down <br />rise the white flags <br />there will be less blood on the ground <br />from the soldiers. <br />Dark-red clouds cover the sky <br />While innocent bodies lie. <br />We have written another sad history's page <br />full of selfishness, ambition and hate. <br />Maybe, someday, the sun will rise <br />a better and beautiful dawn. <br />When the rights will be for everyone equals. <br />And the childrens won't be any more on the sidewalks <br />but in a playground inside a school. <br />It's never too late even it seems so far away <br />Believing my dreams will come true someday <br />Dreams of Hope. <br />A flower can still be born <br />in the dry earth of our hearts.<br /><br />Lindemberg Pereira da Silva<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/dreams-of-hope-3/
