I got a postcard this morning <br />Full of mysterious warnings <br />The midnight is soaring.... <br />And streetlight are glowing.... <br />I don't want to be alone tonight.... <br />I don't want to feel like im not alright... <br />When i can't choose between wrong or right.... <br />When you don't want me there by your side.... <br />Like i can no longer decide....tonight <br /> <br />You could pour me in a glass <br />Let the veins spill it fast <br />And i could bleed it all... <br />And it could be a loss.... <br />It could be a terrible fault... <br />And it could end it all..... <br /> <br />This punishment could be cruel <br />But than i'd just be another fool <br />Who left the side of defying rules <br />And took the side of angry tools <br />You can drown a whole city in your blood <br />Filling in the holes by your mighty flood <br />The waves can crawl down to rise high up <br />To drown everything you used to love.... <br /> <br />Everything you used to hold <br />Everything within your world <br />And you already know... <br />How far it can go..... <br />Where horizon shows.... <br />That's what you've been told.... <br />But you don't listen.... <br />The words you've hidden.... <br />You don't listen to what you hear... <br />Like there's no meaning to your tears.... <br />Like it's not an answer and it ill not disappear... <br />You don't know that kind of fear....yet... <br /> <br />You say everything will fall apart <br />Even this planet's mighty stars <br />Still you question the same part.... <br />Why does it have to be tougher to start.... <br />It's tougher to start now..... <br /> <br />With the search <br />Beneath the blur <br />Trying to remember... <br />With a postcard.... <br />A poscard in your hands....<br /><br />Lubna Hazeem<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/postcard-5/
