My teacher calls me a poet <br />She tells me to write <br />And shows me examples <br />Of just how to be <br />She quotes Some old guy who live long <br />In his saying “not to write to be understood <br />But so that you cant be misunderstood” <br />but to me a poem is what you make it <br />I want you to find you own meaning in my words <br />For in your opinion my words become song <br />And with your thought my story grows <br />You need only ask and I will share <br />The infinite possible that are all there<br /><br />Amanda Eckols<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/called-a-poet/
