Cascades of rain <br />race away from the clouds, <br />Bursting for freedom. <br />Their prolonged stay in the sky <br />has darkened the outlook <br />and appearance <br />of the host, <br />As is the norm with those <br />who cross their path. <br />Propelled away, <br />The droplets taste freedom <br />with glee, <br />Finally finding an escape <br />from their captor <br />who mistreated them severely. <br />For reasons unknown. <br />But only to cause an <br />erosion of joy <br />evident on expressions <br />of the people passed. <br />Confusion taints the victory. <br />Sadness prevails in the rain. <br />Forever unwanted, the drops fell... <br />Faster they descended, the wind <br />sharp as needles <br />carelessly tosses around <br />their fragile bodies. <br />An eternity seems to pass. <br />The decline rapidly reached <br />a Resolution. <br />As the damaged survivors were <br />thrown mercilessly against <br />the unforgiving ground. <br />They swirl around others, <br />Melding minds and bodies <br />in a pool. <br />All share similar disappointment and <br />woe. <br />How could their good deeds be <br />overlooked? <br />The waters that give life to <br />the Flora and fauna of <br />this land <br />condemned to sorrow by <br />uneducated judgements of others. <br />Forcing them to want the <br />broken tears they represent. <br />Just shunned and stepped on <br />until their gradual <br />disappearance off this <br />Earth. <br />Until the cycle <br />repeats itself. <br />As these tormented <br />beings are forever <br />condemned. <br />By their appearance. <br />Not their actions.<br /><br />Tiffany Rose Moczydlowski<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/injustices-3/
