Standing there by the lakeside, <br />Watching herons as a guide <br />To things that haven’t been tried, <br />They fly around each other’s side. <br /> <br />The sunset on the mountaintop <br />Spreads an orange glow from the top <br />Giving a glimmering light that drops <br />It reflects from the rippling plops. <br /> <br />Feeling the strong, cooling breeze, <br />Almost able to make one freeze, <br />‘Cause one’s movements may come to seize. <br />The winds that can remove displease. <br /> <br />This beautiful sight, I can’t apprehend. <br />Hoping that its beauty will never end, <br />‘Cause when one looks, it feels like angels descend, <br />And when one feels, it’s almost like one transcends.<br /><br />Alaude Solus<br /><br />http://www.poemhunter.com/poem/lakeside-2/
